electrial problem/gages lights 200 1988

My 88/wagon has started to have a problem on start up.When I crank the car up the 5th gear light and the high beam light along with both turn signal lighs come on.The night lights in the dash get dim and the temp gage rises above normal.I can turn off the light switch and everything is fine.I havn't blown any fuses and this is what is stumping me.After about 5 to 10 mintues every thing is normal.I hope that someone that has had this problem will shed some info.
