engine dies 900 1993

Hi,
My wife has a '93 940 T wagon. Lately it has been having a problem of dieing with no reason. Come to a stop, back out of the driveway and it dies but each time so far it will start right up and be fine. About 2 yrs ago it had a similar problem and got worse and worse till it wouldn't stay running. Turned out to be the main fuel pump. I had it changed at the shop in town here that are Volvo specialists. I had asked about replacing the intank pump too but they said it was ok. When we got the car home I could hear the main pump making that cavitating sound they make when the intank pump isn't working but this only lasted about a day or so and it has been ok ever since. But now it is dieing again for no reason that I can tell. Has anyone else had this problem? Also I have noticed there is some oil leaking from the dist, just enough to make a spot on the garage floor once in a great while but take it on a trip and it is very noticable. We are afraid to take it anywhere now outside of the city limits and since it is not dieing all the time and gives no hint or simptons as to when it will the shop can't tell me anything. Could this be: main fuel pump, fuel filter, intank fuel pump or the dist seal needs to be replaced as oil may be getting inside the dist??? Any ideas/input would ge greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jim
