Odometer reset button 200 1990

The reset button for my odometer broke and fell out while I was resetting it. Can I take it appart and possibly glue it back in place? I've tried inserting a screwdriver into the hole but cannot find anything to trigger the reset mechanism. If the numbers were lined up straight I probably would just leave well enough alone. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
