I finally found a 122 (1966) sedan with under 200k close to where I live. The engine turns over and looks in very good shape, wiring is good, tires are great, interior is original leather (fairly brittle), an automatic, and no dents. But, it does not run (I don't know why, as it has sat for a long time). The main problem is the rust I could see: rust through around the headlights, and crunchy around the bottom of the quarter panels.
My question is, if I see that much rust through, is it fair to say that the rust I CANNOT see is extensive?
It is only $500...is it worth it? How much rust is too much?
Thanks, Don
