On of my 240's has always been a bit slow on the hills. I have checked the search engine and think the AMM may be the cause. I have blocked the airbox hot air intake because I think the thermostate was bad (this was already done on my other car).
I disconnected the harness and hooked an ohm meter to pins 12 and 36. If I am reading the meter right, I get 110 ohms (not 300-380). I have turned the adjustment screw 8 turns in each direction with no change on the meter. On pin 7, key on, engine off voltage is 1.6, at idle-2.8, at 3500 rpm-3.5 and 12v or better at pin 9.
QUESTION; I think the AMM is bad, have I missed anything? Art B. is it possible to replace any components in the AMM or is it best to replace the complete assembly? What is a good source for a replacement AMM?
Thanks for any assistance.
