Product or technique to refinish plastic taillights

I was hoping to polish or buff my taillights on a '90 744. I found something called Autosol that is produced by a European company, but I was hoping for something available locally. Is there a particular kind of wax, polish, or some other compound that is good for making them shine? Afterwards I will wax the taillights to keep them protected.
