81 speedo cable 200 1981

I've installed a new speedo cable from IPD in the 245. End that goes in the cluster busted again (I guess I am not very careful). Same thing that happened to the original.

Anyway, I have a 244 that I will be scrapping. It's speedo cable turns fine, but it is a BW55. Can I use it in the M46 in the 245?
