No Hot Start D-Jet 140-160 1972

Car starts fine when cold but will not start when hot. When hot I got a noticeably smaller spark off the coil wire when I hold it near the block than when cold.
Is there a resistor in the starting circuit that might have gone gunnybag? If so, what's it look like and where should I look for it?
