i rang volvo australia and they recommend using 10w-60 synthetic motor oil in their M46,M47 gearboxes .So i rang a trusted volvo expert and he said use type FATF fluid...so i decided to drain the 10w-40 motor oil and it was very bronze (possibly burned?)in color and the drain magnet was coated in black gunk.

After filling ATF it seems to shift easier cold-and warm...time will tell...i will drain it again in another 6 months to check the results.
