Driveshafts... 120-130

Ok, as you all probably know, I found a P1800 donor for the Amazon. Among the many upgrades that are now possible is adding an M41 OD tranny. Aside from the planned B20 swap, I'm very much looking forward to getting the lauded 5th gear.

I was able to find a short fore-shaft in the large diameter. But I found that my spare driveshaft was a very small diameter and was incompatable. So... I'm left with a choice. Hunt up a large diameter rear section, or have my small-diameter driveshaft shortened. I've been told by a few brickboarders that the u-joints on the smaller driveshafts are prone to wear out quickly and that the OD will accelerate this.

So, should go with the large diameter (if so, anyone got a large diameter rear section?) or should I get my spare small-diameter driveshaft shortened?
Also, what is the shaft on a 1971 P1800 Like? Big/Small, short large, etc? I don't have the donor on hand, so I'm just curious if I could swipe the rear section out of it and be done with it.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

You mean to tell me that Volvo makes cars that are *NOT* Wagons?!?
1971 P1800E... Not a wagon, but it's just a donor car for the Amazon..
