'95 965 sunroof lubrication 900

I "think" to grease the cables up on this 965 I need to open the sunroof... and at the front edge take off the cover held by two phillips screws (one each side). The cover however does not want to come off and I am not going to tempt fate by forcing it.

On the right track here or am I totally lost?
