What bulbs are used in the e code turn signal units 200 1986

I will soon be installing e codes in my '86 sedan and noted the amber on the bottom 1/2 of the turn signal lens. Is that the running light that stays on with a clear bulb when the headlights are on and the top the actual turnsignal with an amber bulb? If so, will I have to reverse the wiring from what I'm using now (running light on top and turnsignal on bottom)?
