Our '90 244 auto tranny has a very sticky kickdown cable.
It doesn't feel rough when I slide the cable in and out, but it's too gummed up to pull itself back into the sheath.

WD-40 hasn't helped.
I'm considering carb cleaner.
Will this end up in the tranny fluid??
