Okay, here's the deal. I'm going down the interstate this morning in 4th gear with the O/D selected (so I don't haven to stare at that annoying yellow/orange arrow on the dash(M46 trans.) going about 80 mph and about 3500 rpm's. The reason I'm running such high rpm's is because my O/D quit about a year ago shortly after I put it in when I upgraded to the improved pistons that accomodate the large O-rings. So this thing hasn't worked in some time when all of a sudden it kicks into O/D after like a year. It stayed in O/D mode until I got off of the interstate and downshifted out of 4th gear like it should. My question is why did this dead O/D unit suddenly come back to life? It just did it that one time and I couldn't get it to go into O/D again. Was it because I have a weak pump in the O/D and it took that many rpm's to get up enough pressure to get it to kick in or what? Any input would be appreciated.
