I've had an '87 760 Turbo for about 6 years now. When I bought the car the power driver seat didn't work, but it wasn't a problem, as it was stuck in the perfect driving position for me. A few weeks ago, I was fiddling with the buttons at a stop light when it suddenly started working! Back/forth, butt up/butt down, knees up/knees down, but when I went to recline the seatback, the left side reclined, but the right stayed put. I pushed forward to put it back into position, and nothing happened. No motor noise, and no movement. I tried reclining, and again, the left half reclined, the right stayed put.
Now after 6 years of driving bliss, I have a very uncomfortable and annoying driver seat.
I've pulled the seat out, disconnected and reconnected the wires under the carpet, opened the gear boxes on both sides of the seat, and tried cleaning the switches, but nothing has worked. I have not yet pulled the seat apart to get a look at the cable connections to the motor because I hear no motor noise and am therefore assuming it is an electrical problem.
