Just a couple of questions for the group. My 245 gets thrown around alot on the open road with wind, more than any other car or even minivan that I've driven. Handling in general is very good ... not much body lean, neutral to understeer on the sweeps. Tires? Bushings? Roofrack?
My second concern is power or lack of it. From what I've read there is nothing wrong with mine ... it is both slow and gets 23mpg. Typically underpowered. I'm considering a new project now that I'm getting rid of my beloved Porsche 912 (see classifieds). I'm thinking that this vehicle and others like, perhaps pickup trucks because of rear drive configuration and workspace under the hood, if an electric assist motor was successfully added it would benefit both available power and increase gas mileage. Rather than the hi tech systems in hybids I'm thinking more like the electric assist add ons for bicycles. If some battery powered torque was applied at the right times ......
You see where I'm going with this. Any thoughts or success stories out there?
