Reoccuring issue with the Odometer/Trip Odometer on 1 '92 240 200

The Odometer and Trip Odometer have not worked since I took the cluster out(but didn't disconnect anything)to take a picture of the back. When this problem arose before, I checked the gears, and none were missing teeth, and I was able to manually move the numbers. After about 50 miles, the Odometer and Trip Odometer began working again(for well over 300 miles)-until I took it out to take a picture of it. Any help would be greatly appreciated :) Thanks!
