The first time i saw a 1800 was about 2 years ago, i had no idea what it was long story short figured it out and have wanted one the last 2 years. Im 19 I own and drive evey day a 1965 Lincoln Continental but I will be starting college soon and need to get rid of a 1970 monte carlo because it is too much of a project for me and with gas the way it is the 430 ci v8 in my lincoln will need to take some time off. So im looking in to geting a small car as a driver im looking at 3 cars right now 67 and older VW beetle a Giha and 67 and older P1800. The 1800 is the car I would like to have but i know nothing about them so i have a few questions
1. what price range could i find a good daily driver paint condition doesnt matter but not needing major body work useable interior
2. Pros and cons to years no newer than 67
3. Problem areas to look for when buying
4. Problem Areas once owned
5. How hard is it to get parts/how expensive are as compaired to other classic cars
6. How difficult is the car to work on oh complex is the car
7. Gas mileage/reliability
Any help would be great im in the dark right now but after owning my 65 lincoln witch is just about the most complex car on earth i think ill be ok
Thanks for any help you can give Nick
