I started the car tonight and the headlights would not turn on. The running lights work fine - with the switch in that middle position they come on as normal as do the instrument lights. In the headlight on position, nothing is on. No headlights, no instrument lights.

Additional clues:
Slowly turning the switch from headlights on to running lights on (switch in between positions) I hear the click of a relay, this does not, however, correspond to any lights coming on or off.
I can still flash the highbeams with the stalk.

I haven't had a chance to troubleshoot any further, I hope to get some good advice before digging in with a meter and jumpers, etc.
