Ran into a lady this morning who had a 1985 mercedes turbo diesel. She told me that she can run bio-diesel, diesel, even home heating oil in it. If I recall Volvo Diesel models have to be modified to run bio-diesel and then can only run bio-diesel not regular diesel. Is this correct or incorrect ?? Also this woman told me that here in NJ there are no bio-diesel fuel co-ops to obtain bio-diesel fuel. Anyone reading this from NJ ? Is this so ? Same lady said that NJ does not do emmissions test for inspection on diesel cars ? Is this so ? I know a fellow who has a diesel Volvo for sale. Think it is an early 80's model. Looks real nice. Price is cheep($750). However I am a bit leary for above mentioned reasons plus that I know nothing about diesel Volvo's/cars. However I have friends upstate NY who drive a VW diesel car and get bio-diesel from a bio-diesel fuel co-op for less then $1.50 a gallon. Sur beats $3.00 for gas !! Any info, advice, comments are most appreciated.
