Hello All:
Given the cost of fuel these days, I am looking to make my 245 and 945 as fuel efficient as possible. Among other things, I am going to be replacing O2 sensors on both cars, using Bosch O2 sensors that have harnesses for Ford cars-- I was in Niagara Falls this weekend and I picked up a Bosch 13953 and a 13942 (different harness lengths, but both are compatible with the 1990 Mustang 5.0 that I have read many people referring to here-- I couldn't find the 13913 that is often referred to, though).
Any recommendations on the best connectors to use to mate these with the existing O2 sensor harnesses? I have read warnings about not soldering because of the sensor using O2 from inside the wiring insulation for reference. Is there a particular brand of crimp connector that is preferable? Do you heat shrink over the connectors? Any type of grease that is appropriate to protect the connection?
Thanks!
