Temp and Gas Gauges whacked up 200 1987

87 240 Temp guage is all over the place. Will be in the normal range while driving, seconds later it will got into the upper limits and then back down to normal. I would believe the fluctuations but the gas gauge rises as well almost in direct relation to how much the temp gauge rises.

Any help would be appreciated.
