'94 940 Headlights won't work 900

When I switch to parking lights they work and so do the instrument lights. When I switch to headlights none of the lighting works (instrument lights included). We have to hold on the high beam switch to get any headlight function. Called the local foreign parts place for a "headlight relay" for the '94 940 but they had NO LISTING FOR SUCH A RELAY. To complicate things: This car had an aftermarket remote starter installed when I purchased it. Is it the remote starter? Or is there really a headlight relay that I'm not finding? Thanks for any help.
