Has anyone tried 16' wheels and lower profile tires to improve handeling. will 35mm offset wheels work? S90-V90

Has anyone tried 16" wheels and lower profile tires to improve handeling. will 35mm offset wheels work? (IE will FWD/AWD V70 wheels work?)

I am going to buy summer tires soon....
