Rack interchangeability 200 1984

So I have to replace my steering rack. It has play, squeals, leaks from one side, and has manual mode when I first start off. As this car is not my daily driver, I am considering pulling a rack from a parts car I have. Same year but it has a ZF rack rather than the CAM that needs replacing. I'm going by the boot styles. Will I be able to swap them? I am also thinking that I could switch the pump with it at the same time so as not to undo any hoses. Has anyone done this?
