First thanks to all here who post questions and answers... here's the deal our (the girl friends car) began to act up first a dead battery ahh no problem pick up a new one pop it in all good. right so i thought, about a week later battery dead again jumped it pulled it to the other side of the street, due to street cleaning took the 245 to work. Checked the board when i returned home after intense board reading the voltage regulator seemed to be the suspect device under the hood. I ordered it from fpc groton it came and i popped it in but in my over zealous state moments from completion i snapped the adjusting bolt for the alt. Now i foolishly figured auto zone should have this or home depot oh how wrong i was even bothered a guy at an auto electric shop. the problem was that the 244 was again dead on the side of the street that would be the street cleaning side come morning. My girl took the wheel and my 125 lbs frame pushed to no avail. Then a neighbor a giant gay german man helped me push it to a spot on the other side buying a few days before the next cleaning. I woke up early this am and set off for the bone yards a few miles north of downtown LA. I paid my the admission and wandered thru bashed up nissans, hondas, and just past a 740, we found 2 245s, then as i began to pile up a few wheels to stand on my girl took off and returned with tails of a rather pristine 244. We found all we needed for both cars. We left the mad maxish world of the bone yards to return to civilization with our loot. I could barely contain my self leaping from the 245 tools parts and pf blaster in hand. After some noodleing about it was all together. then the moment of truth bam it started up ran strong even and then i disconnected the ground from the battery and it continued to run. Victory was ours... with out the brick board, my patent girl friend, and of course a big gay german that moment of glory would not have been posable. thank you
