82 240 ALT wire connections questions??? 200

This is my brothers 82 242. No really it is. I am pretty familiar with the 83 and up set up but this 82 is not what I am use to.
Have a couple of questions about alternators on 82 240. This has the K-jet system. Alternator is not charging. Red wire is hooked to the black/blue post and the black wire hooked to the Red post. There is an additional wire that serves a ground jumper that connects to a post ( 1 of four screws that hold the alternator together) on the back of the alternator to the alternator bracket. (As you are looking down from the right fender Black wire on top Red wire on bottom.)

1.Is it correctly wired. It seems backwards. The terminal that jumps from the alt to the bracket was broken. I have no idea where it is suppose to go. I am only guessing jugging by length as to where the jumper wire and direction the wire was heading that this is where the jumper wire goes.

2. This alternator looks different from my 83, 84, 86 and 90 Volvos. The voltage regulator is on the bottom and not the top. I can replace the voltage regulator on these other 4 cars from the fender on the 82 you have to do it from the bottom. Is thes the correct alternator.

3. The bracket that is used for tension on the belt. The arm that connects to the engine and then to the alternator also seems backwards. The bolt goes through the arm then through the alternator a washer goes through the bolt then the nut. (The nut fastens down on the alternator.) It seems like the arm is on backwards also.

I will pull the alternator and haul it down to advance or some place to have it checked but if it is not wired correctly it doesn’t make a difference how good it works on the bench.
