Replaced caliper - want to bleed 200 1985

I know this is not what most would do here - but I just want to bleed the single right front caliper that I just replaced on the 85 245 till I can get it on a rack and have it done properly.

Is there any danger of messing up anything (master cylinder??) and should I have the car running while my assistant pumps?
