Proper torque for Crank Pulley bolt? I've found some possible contradictions.... 200 1993

Hi. I'm putting the crankshaft pulley back on, following a timing belt, shaft seals and tensioner replacement.

The IPD do-it-yourself DVD says 122 ft-lbs.
Bentley manual, page 215-5, says: stage 1, 44 ft-lbs, and then stage 2, "additional 1/6 turn (90 degrees)".

That last one has me confused -- a 1/4 turn is 90 deg., but a 1/6 turn is 60 deg. I imagine the torque for a 1/4 vs. a 1/6 turn is substantially different!
[by the way, I used the "tool", not the rope trick, to hold the pulley, in case it makes a difference in the torquing technique.]

What's the right tightening procedure?
