Are there any ideas out there for getting the driver's seat a little further back without doing any dramatic welding, hacking or changing out? The seats are reupolstered and I'd like to keep them. The huge stock steering wheel, which I like, seems too close and my knees sometimes hit the bottom of the dash.

If I put a less stiff spring on the clutch arm will it be easier to push it in? Or is it the hydrolics of the master and slave which make it stiff to push in. Seems to be creating a little sore spot in my left knee area. Most of my driving is local.
