Timing gear replacements 120-130

A bit like Christmas yesterday when I got to my parents' house for the weekend- apparently months ago I ordered a steel timing gear set (as well as new windshield washer pump) and had it sent here and forgot about it! So I guess I know what I'm (probably) doing this afternoon- but I'm a bit unclear as to whether I have everything I need to get it done right. In the kit are the gears, a paper timing cover gasket, felt ring, red sorta-rubber oil seal, two bolts and a rounded sort of diamond shaped plate with a small hole at either point and large hole in the middle. I have a gear puller around here somewhere. Is that everything I'll need to get the job done? Any additional tips and tricks? The gear in the car is intact (well, the car is running), but I'm getting a knocking which I hope the new gears will elminate.
Thanks
Tom
