I finally picked up a few bits of rubber and plastic at Home Depot and made up a fitting to pressurize my intake on my turbo. Car makes a pssst sound around maximum boost that I am trying to track down. Recently replaced the CBV on my Garrett with dealer parts (diaphragm was ripped). Many thanks to a board member who suggested this and furnished a part number. Car appears to leak/use less oil now, but I also found the small flame trap tube was plugged. Also using a check valve in the line from the frame trap to the manifold.
I have now found a fair sized air leak around the shaft on the throttle body on the spring side. Is there a seal in there that is relatively easy to replace?
Also noted a lot of air was coming back through the motor and out the crankcase breather. Should I be overly concerned about this? Time to remove some carbon deposits perhaps? I have read recently about the water trick and the Seafoam. I don't know if we can get Seafoam in Canada. I ran about 15 psi into the manifold. No other obvious leaks anywhere else that I could find, but I'm trying to do them one at a time!
