Doing an oil change today, I checked the bottom of the oil sump and found some fine sooty dust deposits. Investigating further, I checked the air intake and the base of the air-fuel control unit.
In here the tar-like dirt was sever and included what at first sight looked like small pieces of black oily gravel. However, they crumbled under pressure and look like sooty deposit that have formed inside the unit.
Has anyone ever seem anything like this. If so, what is the cause(s) and the remedial action?
The photo of the sample show fragments sizes after being broken!
