Ken, hi
thanks for this info... indeed, prior to my buying this baby, mineral oil had been used, but I am a "strickly synthetic man"! The flame trap and hoses were COMPLETELY blocked 100% but I freed all that up about 18 months ago and keep an eye on this (hence the name!!!).

Thought### my wife uses the 240 for very short runs - super market, gym, girl friends etc.etc.etc. could this contribute to the build up (i.e. cold running engine never getting to operating temp???).

Anyway, it looks like the whole she-bang is going to need a clean and overhaul - yyukkk -
