Low idle, stalling 700 1991

1991 745 Ti 208K

The car was displaying symptoms associated with a dirty throttle body. After removing it I did infact see that the space between the body and the plate was reduced due to buildup.

Cleaned the deposits off and reassembled only to find no difference in the problem. Still idles too low at start up with occasional stalling.

Should I try cleaning the Idle Speed Control Valve or do a mechanical adjustment of linkage with corresponding adjustment of the switch?
