Low idle, stalling 700 1991

Shouldn't have to mess with the linkage. There's a screw stop on the throttle body that sets the closed position. The linkage only acts to pull it open. Your IAC is probably the problem. Check you compressor bypass valve. If it's bad the extra intake manifold pressure will force oil into the IAC and gum up the valve and brushes.
