tranny oil on tailgate 700 1992

My automatic tranny on the '92 745T (136K) is losing fluid, and a lot of it seems to be showing up on both the garage floor and the tailgate. I put some of that "leak-seal" stuff in, but that does not seem to have helped. I can do things like replacing gaskets, but I can't do a rebuild. Any ideas? Thanks
