Odd Rattling noise 200 1982

The car is an 82 240 GL 4 cylinder no turbo with 158,000 miles on it but when I shift into 3rd and 4th gear and jump on it to get up to speed this odd noise comes from somewhere and I can't really pinpoint it because I have to be driving to hear it. It is a kind of chirping rattling noise and it is driving me crazy. It also chirps a bit when when I downshift into 2nd gear at a high rpm. I don't think it is the motor because it runs really good besides that. I also put a new muffler on it thinking that would fix it but no luck any help would be great, thanks.
