240 Tire Question

I need tires for my 1987 240 wagon. On it right now are Michelin Rainforce 185R14. Supposedly they are reinforced for wagon use, and I was told today they don't make them anymore. Instead, there is the Michelin Harmony 195 75 14 which is not reinforced, so tire place said they would just put more air in it to make it stronger - ? I believe in Michelin but my checkbook does not ($ 100/tire).

What are other good choices? How do the Pirelli P400 or Dunlop SP40 compare to the Michelins? Other brands? Treadwear not terribly important as they will probably outlive the car or my ownership of it. Noisy I don't mind. There is no snow in GA. But need good puncture resistant tires that perform well in wet conditions.

Any suggestions?
