Okay, as you may know I have been looking for a good used 740 to buy as a move up from the 200 series.
I just found one and it is a '88 744 and it has only 145,000 miles on it. It does need some work though such as; a new headliner as it has been ripped out, a new e-brake cable or something as the cable seems to be totally broken. Also the passenger window is off of it's track. But all in all the price seems to be right and the rest of the car is in good condition. He says the AC doesn't work but it seemed like it might have been working a little. Oh, also there was a constant dinging sound that we couldn't figure out like a door was open and it would flucuate if we played witht the overhead light.

The main concerns are fixing the e-brake and then the headliner. Is there a way to replace the fabric? It has the light cream colored seats. Someone broke into the trunk but I bought a new lock for my 240 and never put it in and it looks like it will fit into this trunk as it is the same style.
