Looking for Junkyards in Mississippi 700

I am looking for a place to shop for used parts for my 1990 740 (NA) and cannot locate anything ANYWHERE! I have located ONE dead 1991 740 in the last three years of haphazard looking. I would like to look a little more thoroughly now.

Also, how does a Pick and Pull work? The one car the I was able to locate (mentioned above) was at a yard where they were VERY reluctant to let me "shop the car" for anything I might want . . . I needed to know what I wanted in advance and they would go get it for me. Is this normal?

Also, I finally convinced the guy to let me out onto the yard to check out this car. I had to have an employee come with me. I pointed and he removed . . . I picked and he pulled. Then I pointed to the driver's door speaker cover. He said, "No way! You have to buy the entire door to gat that!"

. . . blink, blink . . .

Again, it this normal? I felt that the prices were fair for what they would sell me. But many parts were only sold as "units" (i.e. - the doors) and many big items required purchase of the entire vehicle (shipped by them at your expense and their price, no one else allowed to pick it up for you, et cetera . . . )

Again, is this normal?

And how can I locate dead 740s? Do I have to call each yard, or is there an online system? The yard guys have one that they use to get stuff. I have seen these guys scanning computer monitors for specific information several times, but they will not share the information. If they locate a part for you in, say, Memphis, you cannot go and get it (and maybe some other parts while you are there) but must pay shipping to the yard where you made the inquiry.

Thanks!

Wade
