Charcoal filter question 200 1984

Hey everyone -

It's been a while, but in the world of repairs, that's a good thing. I've recently relocated from Portland, ME to Murfreesboro, TN and am doing some tune ups on my gal and was wondering when/if I should change that charcoal filter on the vacume line? She's at 190k and I've had her now for 90 of those and to my knowledge that filter was never changed (she wasn't taken very good care of before coming to me).

Any suggestions?

Also would like to solicit advice on everyone's favorite spark plugs for a '84 244... :)
