LEDs to replace 1157 tail/brake lights. What size resistors? 200 1988

I have the LED lights, dual contact and dual brightness, to replace the filament bulbs in the 1988 244 tail/brake bulbs.

Tried them and the BFWS immediately tripped and turned on the amber warning light.

I read somewhere that this is because of the low load the LEDs have, and that a resistor across the leads will raise the load and makes things work.

But - nowhere was there any info about what ohms and power capacity of resistor would be correct.

Are you someone who can help with this? Ohms, and power capacity to use? Plus whether to connect it across the wires, or series?

I want to use them because there is a water leak which occasionally blows that 1157 bulb and the LED would not be subject to such damage.

Thanks in adance,

Bob
