VIN code:86 or 87 piston skirt oiling? 900

Greetings, Bricketeers. 86 and 87 are VIN codes for the B230FT. I have been researching this for some time, as i am currently looking into buying a '93 to '95 940 Turbo Wagon. Does anyone here know if the 87 code had the piston skirt oiling system? I have read on this board that someone "thought" the system was in place in the '93 models, but the different VIN engine codes virtually unanimously are <"87" for '93 and before> and <"86" for '94 models and after> for the B230FT. Do I assume incorrectly that the VIN 86 and 87 designations for the B230FT refer to the skirt oiling system? Am i placing too much emphasis on the oiling system? I am looking at a '93 (all options / 173K miles / Nice condition / fair $$$), '95 (cloth / no sunroof / 187K miles / Nice condition / same $$$ as '93), and a '95 (cloth / no sunroof / 116K miles / Excellent condition / $1.2K additional $$$). Please give me your opinions, I am at my wits end; as I want the best value and longevity for my wife's car. We just had a baby three weeks ago.
