Here's a problem that has me stumped.
Fuse #15 keeps blowing on my 1980 245.
Looking at the fuse listing on the cover, it says that this fuse controls the following:
"Left park and tail lamps
License Plate Lamps
(Side Marker Lamps)"
I've disconnected both wires that go into the tail gate, thinking that maybe the license plate lights were shorting due to a broken wiring harness. It made no difference, the fuse blew as soon as I replaced it again.
I'm not sure what the side marker lamps are, so I haven't checked those.
I'm not sure what would go bad with the parking/tail lamps, I took a quick glance at those wires and they were fine.
Using an Ohmmeter I found that there is virtually no resistance between ground and one side of the fuse block, so there is obviously a short somewhere. The problem is I'm not sure where.
Any ideas where else to look?
What else should I do?
Thanks as always.
