check engine light on, idle a bit higher following new plugs. 200 1993

check engine light has turned on. Volvo dealer replaced plugs and rotor 2 weeks ago. I noticed it is idling a bit faster. Any ideas? Car is running just fine though. 02 sensor and catalytic converter <2 years old. my son DID come home the other night following a fillup and the gas cap was off. could this be the culprit?
