I'VE HAVE A NO START PROBLEM WITH MY 740, WHICH i GOT SEVERAL REPLIES TO IN LATE AUGUST; Thanks for the help. Still the bugger won't stay running even thought it will fire. I rechecked the sensors and the wiring etc. I also did the test to check the load sicgnal from the fuel ecm to the ingnition control. The Volvo green books say the voltage from pin 25 to pin #8 on the Ignition control should be 0.1V with te key on and engine not running. I have a reading of .001V at the Ign. control end of the wire and .015V if taken with a pin in inserted into the back of the #25 connection at hte LH fuel control harness. I've seen a few misprints in the Volvo green books so I'm wondering if anyone know whether the 0.1v spec is correct, or if there is a mis print?
If 0.1 is corrct as apposed to .01v then it would indicate the ECU is okay, right?
fyi this car has about 330000 miles.
