All right this is darn near mushy... we are all getting older, I will not likely ever own a new car, that said I did my best buying a 93 245 classic wagon with matching 5 speed to match my wife’s taste on mothers day 06. The car was a one owner and a southern car never driven in salt with ~145k. On the 14th of Sept. I was run off the road by a car which made a u turn into the front side of my car resulting in a pole crash at ~ 40mph. The Volvo needs moor the a face lift, I on the other hand had little damage. I am currently seeking to substantiate the value of the car, I probably should be satisfied to be alive but somehow feel that I must replace with as close as possible the exact car???. Has the crash affected me in some other way, if so what is the prognosis?
I am looking for comparable sales or other info to help my case when the insurance company offers what will likely be a blue book value for a 93 wagon – in order to prove the car has a higher value I will need to show other sales or some how convince that that this car being 1 of 1600 and a stick is limited and hard to replace and should have a much higher payout thus that I could replace with another 93 of same make/model and in this case vintage… Blue books don’t talk about vintage and 5 speeds are worth less then a automatic - but be the same token impossible to find and demand a high price. Anyone to help my cause please respond or email at service@custom-cal.com or call 908-328-3663
