Replaced some fuel hose today, now have a ? 200

I found a great looking Fuel Sending unit today from a 1989 244. ($20 w/ new looking hose and pump) I replaced my corroded sender from my 83 245. Last winter I replaced my in tank pump on my 244 and also replaced the hoses to and from the sender. I went about it again today and did the same using the same size hoses and then just using those screw clamps on all links. The guy at napa gave me a piece of Non fuel injection hose for the return hose to the sender. Is there really enough pressure at that point to have concern? Should I replace the hose with a better piece? Is it vital that I use the hose with the hard plastic inside that hooks to the barbs really tough. I just cut it and put the hose over the old plastic stuff. Anyways any thoughts will be appreciated.
