question about flame trap installation for a '81 245............... 200 1981

I am still at a loss as how to get to the flame trap. I did the flame trap in my sister's '92 244, and it was quite simple indeed. The '81 however has the trap well under the manifold, and no matter how long I look at it I cannot fathom how I will be able to get my thick arm and hand in there to do the job-absent removing the manifold, which I really do not want to do. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
